I have NO IDEA what this rock is called. That's why it's a mystery.
But .... OH! The color. See the closeup picture.
 
This isn't a big rock ... but since it's totally crack free, it could be turned into a lot a beautiful cabs.
 
As for what kind of rock it is .....
 
I recall my dad and his friends talking about "Jasp-Agate" when I was a kid. So I looked up a bunch of  pictures on the web. There was every kind of rock you can think of. I've come to the conclusion that the "Jasp-Agate" -- loosely defined -- means, "I don't have a clue what it is either."
