About 2 to 4 Inch Chunks of Idaho Graveyard Point Agate

My dad collected his Graveyard Point when I was busy with my own career in software development. I wasn't around, but my dad was in his collecting prime -- he was a great rockhound. Since I'm not a great rockhound, I have trouble visualizing rocks as great cabs sometimes. I sent a chunk to "Ed" who owns a rock shop in Texas. I told Ed that I almost chucked the rock I sent to him into Surprise Wash next to my house. Ed sent a picture back (shown in the listing) and said he wanted to know exactly where Surprise Wash was so he could drive up and rockhound there. Kenneth also polished a different variety of Graveyard Point.

The Gem Shop also has a great page about Graveyard agate ... It's over twenty years old now but still the best resource I could find for learning about it:

Gem Shop - Graveyard agate

"Graveyard Point Agate is a well-known seam agate found in far eastern Oregon. The area is only seven miles from Homedale, Idaho and just two miles across the Idaho-Oregon border." My dad was probably there not too long after the site was discovered by rockhounds.

Since I'm basically a rank amateur when it comes to rocks, I checked Ebay and other sites to see what others were charging for Graveyard Point agate.

HooWee!!!   Prices blew me away. (Check it out for yourself!) But (believe it or not), making a big profit isn't why I do this. What I REALLY want is feedback from rockhounds about my dad's rocks. And I'm willing to send them out at incredible low prices to get the feedback.

There is one catch. The shipping charge (USPS retail for a flat rate padded envelope -- currently $10.60) is a big part of your cost. But if you order another rock and I can fit everything in the same package, it will only cost you one shipping fee for everything. We can do it as a "custom order" to make it even easier.

The first three pictures are the EXACT rocks you will get. The other pictures are just to illustrate Graveyard Point Agate in general.
