Jon has a professional office in upstate New York and he likes to show off his rocks to clients. He picked a great way to do it.
The case is called a Printers Drawer. Back in the good ol’ days, when printers used to set type by hand, they needed a case with a lot of little sections, one for each character in a font. There are 26 letters in the English alphabet. That makes 52 including capital letters. Add 10 more for numbers. Then there are special characters like the symbols at the top of your keyboard. And punctuation. And the printer would need a lot more vowels than consonants. … There are probably a lot of things I can’t think of right now.
That’s why there are a lot of little sections and they’re different sizes. You can find grundles of old Printers Drawers for sale at Ebay.
Life was a lot different back then … and more dangerous. A good friend, Klancy de Nevers, wrote a memoir of her father who was one of those old-time printers. Printers used a lot of lead in their job. Lead will eventually affect your brain. Klancy’s dad was a great dad, but he paid the price.
It’s a great read.

By the way, I designed the cover. It won a prize at a publishers convention. (Woo Hoo!)
If you’re scouting around for ideas, you might want to consider this one too.
